VITUS · A Private World

There are projects built to fill space.
And those BUILT TO CREATE A WORLD.

VITUS is the latter. A private hospitality and lifestyle ecosystem built on the principle that the quality of one's inner state defines the reality created and experienced externally. Influence without exposure. Felt, never advertised.

Inner Sustainability · Outer Impact

The principle beneath the world.

VITUS proceeds from a single conviction: that the reality a human being creates and experiences externally is shaped, first, by the quality of their inner state. The world VITUS builds is not designed to entertain its participants. It is designed to return them — to themselves, to the people who matter to them, and to the work that asked them here in the first place.

From that conviction flows a particular set of choices: depth over scale, restraint over noise, private conversation over public release, the long evening over the loud weekend. Influence is exercised by being — not by being seen.

"There are projects built to fill space. There are projects built to fill calendars. And there are those built to create a world. VITUS is the third kind."

The Ambassadorship

Dr. Bernd R. Schmidt · Vitus Global Ambassador.

The founder serves as Global Ambassador to VITUS in a personal capacity, in support of HH Leyla Issa Abuzaid — founder of VITUS Holding and a long-standing personal friend. The ambassadorship is held outside the commercial perimeter of Jakob Schmidt & Sons; it carries no fee, no mandate, and no commercial expectation.

The role exists for one reason: VITUS asks for — and deserves — the kind of careful, personal stewardship that the founder brings to anything he cares about. Where introductions, counsel, or the patient work of bringing the right people into a private world are useful, he is available. Everything else stays where VITUS keeps it: in private conversation.

What the ambassador does

Personal introductions to individuals whose presence in the VITUS world would enrich both sides. Quiet counsel to the founder of VITUS where a third-generation industrial perspective is useful. Discreet representation in rooms where the world's principal counterparties already trust the Schmidt name. None of it commercial. All of it on time.

What the ambassador does not do

The ambassador does not solicit, sell, recruit, market, programme, or operate. VITUS has its own architect and its own programme. The ambassador is a friend of the work, in the literal sense of the word: someone who walks beside it.

The Houses

Four places. One world.

VITUS is anchored in four properties, each chosen as much for what they are not as for what they are. Together they form a circuit — a private architecture of return rather than of display.

Sacred House · Cappadocia, Türkiye

Carved into ancient stone, recognised for its kitchen and for its silence. The anchor of the VITUS world and the venue of the inaugural gathering. The architecture itself is the first lesson: a building that does not assert itself over the landscape it inhabits.

VITUS Resort · Kaş, Türkiye

A coastal retreat on the Anatolian Mediterranean — with a dedicated members' layer — designed by the same hand that shaped Sacred House. Sea, stone, and the slow time of southern light.

House of Vitus · Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The founder's private residence in the Saudi capital, selectively opened to the VITUS world. The house where the GCC, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Levant arrive at the same table.

VITUS Italian Retreat · Le Marche, Italia

An Italian counterpoint to the Anatolian heart of the world. Olive trees, hill country, and the slow Italian art of doing one thing beautifully and very, very well.

The Gatherings

Three themes. One world unfolding.

VITUS convenes its world around a small number of carefully designed gatherings. Each carries a single theme that the architecture, the kitchen, the music, the conversation, and the silence are all shaped to serve. The themes are intentionally philosophical rather than transactional.

The Inner Sustainability

The founding theme of the VITUS world. A reflection on the inner discipline that sustains a working life of consequence — without which outer impact becomes mere noise.

Powerful Play

An invitation to consider how play, rightly understood, is a form of moral seriousness — and how the rooms in which decisions of consequence get made are often the rooms in which the players have remembered how to play.

Creation

A meditation on what it means to bring something into being — a child, a company, a country, a piece of music, a path of one's own — and on the kind of person the act of creation asks one to become.

Dates, locations, and the form each gathering takes are communicated privately, to members and to invited guests, by VITUS itself. None of it appears on any public channel.

"The benefit of VITUS is not the breadth of the network. It is the depth of who is already in the room."

The Circle

Who is in the world.

The people inside VITUS are not selected for their balance sheets and they are not selected for their titles. They are selected for the quality of attention they bring to a room, the care with which they hold what they have built, and the willingness to be present without performing. Founders, artists, scientists, sovereigns, philanthropists, and the handful of people who have done the inner work to be worth knowing for more than one evening.

The circle stays small on purpose. The benefit of VITUS is not the breadth of the network. It is the depth of who is already in the room.

The Founder of VITUS

HH Leyla Issa Abuzaid.

Founder of VITUS Holding. Fifteen years of senior leadership across investment, agribusiness, hedge funds and private equity. Builder of institutions that opened markets — including pioneering work at the intersection of the GCC, Brazil and the Russian Federation. Multilingual at counterparty level across English and Portuguese, with Arabic, Spanish and Italian in working capacity. VITUS is her current vehicle, and its tone is hers: restraint, taste, and an insistence on depth over scale.

The founder of Jakob Schmidt & Sons has known her for many years. The ambassadorship reflects that friendship and the belief that the world she is building deserves the patience of a third-generation industrial house standing quietly beside it.

"Conversations are private. Introductions are by invitation." — VITUS

How to Approach

By introduction. By invitation.

VITUS does not run a public enquiry channel. There is no form, no pricing page, no calendar of events. There are only three legitimate routes into the world:

By introduction of a member

The simplest and most natural route. A member of the VITUS circle brings you into a conversation that, in time, may or may not become an invitation. There is no obligation in either direction.

Through the Ambassador

Through the founder of Jakob Schmidt & Sons, in his personal capacity as Global Ambassador. A short written note to the Office of the Founder, mentioning the kind of person you are and why you believe the worlds might meet, is the form.

Directly with VITUS

Through VITUS itself, at its own address. The house keeps its own door.
